A Talk by John Wolfson
Travesties of Shakespeare's plays were popular entertainment in Victorian England. They began as satires on Shakespeare "critical editions" and then took over the stage. John Wolfson, Curator of Rare Books, Globe Theatre, traces the development of the Travesty.
Featuring Randy Harrison and John Douglas Thompson
